Asher has thee most BEAUTIFUL eyes, agree? It was so fun to try to make him smile…and really, actually, it was funner (word? yes? no?) to watch his *parents* try to make him smile. 😉 He has so many expressions, I just loved capturing all of them. Happy birthday, sweet boy!

This is almost nothing more special to me than the honor of being one of the very few in a labor and delivery room. The one who is quietly capturing such strong and special moments for laboring parents who are so anxious to meet their new little one. This birth photography session was no exception. I have been friends with Matt & Jeri for quite a few years now and was overjoyed when they asked me to capture their daughter Kinsley’s arrival.
Jeri’s labor is crazy fast so as soon as she was checked into the hospital for her induction, I headed their way. We had a bit of a waiting period but easily filled that with chatting and laughter. 🙂 They chose to have an epidural for this delivery so things were pretty even-keeled for her labor. No yelling or cursing like you see in the movies. 😉
