Moving Onward…

I posted this months ago on my Facebook Page, but completely forgot to post it here!  Oops!!

After a ton of prayer, soul-searching, and vision-casting for myself, my photography business and our family, I have decided step away from all studio-based sessions. This includes *posed* newborn portraiture.
I’ll continue to shoot Seniors, Families, Maternity, Births, Milestones, and Lifestyle Newborn/Family sessions.

At this time in our family’s life, I felt the need to really step back and simplify my approach to this business and unfortunately, that means that I need to sacrifice something that I absolutely love – my studio and traditional newborn clients. My husband and kids need a wife and mama who is present and available to them, as much as possible.

I’ve been shooting newborns for 6 years and mentoring for 4 years and I’m ready to move in a different direction and explore other types of photography that I’ve been interested in but haven’t had room in my schedule to do.

This has been a really difficult decision – to give up a genre of photography that I’ve loved and nurtured for years and years but in my heart I just know that for our family, this is the right decision.

I do want to say a big THANK YOU to ….

1) My Newborn Client Families, who have commissioned me to photograph their most precious little ones in my studio – I have loved every single minute of it and would be overjoyed to continue to photograph your growing families.

2) My Newborn Workshop Sponsors, who have faithfully sent beautiful items for us to photograph at the workshop and gifts for my attendees to take home to add to their collection. Sew WhimseyPetunia and IvyMy Timeless CoutureThe birds nest props

3) My Newborn Workshop Attendees, whom I have come to know as my friends and colleagues – it has been (and will continue to be) an honor to guide and instruct you on how to get those poses & lighting perfect.

4) My Wonderful Clients – I am looking forward to continuing to capture your family’s most precious moments. Thank you for supporting me and my business. I can’t do this without you.

Much love,
jaci
