The Bocka Wedding {Ohio Wedding Photographer}

I was so looking forward to capturing Terry and Janet’s wedding day!  From the very first conversation Janet and I shared, I could tell she was a passionate person…and very passionate about Terry!

While dating, they spent a lot of time at Mohican State Park, so it was only fitting that they tied the knot there as well!  The resort itself is rustic and beautiful and they were to be married on the patio, overlooking the lake.  The day started off a little drizzly and cloudy, which always makes me a tad nervous.  With all of the rain that was pending, we weren’t sure if their dream outdoor wedding would actually take place *outdoors* until just a few hours from the ceremony time! Thankfully, the clouds rolled away and the sun appeared!

Janet was a stunning bride!

Terry was so ready to see his bride!

They chose to do a First Look so they could have some time to themselves right away, devote plenty of time for photos before the wedding, and be able to PARTY with their closest friends and family right after their ceremony!  I have found that this also allows the couple to relax and enjoy the day so much more.  It’s a win-win.  😉

I loved capturing their playful interaction and sweet displays of love.  Took me back to my own wedding day.  🙂

Um, hello beautiful rings.

They have this thing for cars…so I squealed with delight when we planned to use of Terry’s dad’s cars for some of the photos!  It’s so much fun to add that personal touch to a couple’s images.

I was so drawn to Janet’s bouquet – it was so fabulous and elegant!

The look of adoration on Terry’s face. I love it.

Ow ow!

This just might be my favorite from the entire day.  🙂

Here’s the bridal party!  Terry’s father, and Janet’s four loving children.  They were great to work with!

I love this shot – the girls checking out the beautiful bracelet Terry had given Janet as a wedding gift.

Like I said, the clouds disappeared and the sun was shining – exactly when we wanted it to!  (Thank you, Lord!)

And then it was time for the party!

Their cake not only tasted fabulous, it was exquisite.  The detailing was to die for.

And back to the dancing.  And yes – I do believe that I caught Terry doing “The Lawnmower.”  Don’t hold it against him.  😉

Janet and Terry – best wishes for your marriage!  May you have many, many, many wonderful years of happy marriage ahead of you!

xoxo, jaci
