I had the pleasure of mentoring a good photographer friend of mine, Jen, of Jen Camacho Photography.  Her love for these little ones is so apparent and I loved spending some extra 1:1 time with her and 3 sweet models!

I am so honored to work with some amazing sponsors for this Newborn Workshop!  Please do take a look through their shops!

I love how this job allows me to play (and photograph – lol!!) with such sweet little babies AND meet fabulous rising photographers at the same time!!  I had such a fabulous time spending the day with Jeremi and 3 of the cutest newborns around…here are just a few of the images we captured that day.

Adorable Ruth came to her session all set and ready to model!  Such a pretty little gal, she is.

Here are a few of my favorites from my time with her…

It was such a pleasure to photograph sweet Emma…she is the daughter of some dear friends of ours and I was so elated to be able to capture these images for them.  She had the most beautiful pink-y skin.  :)

This year, I’ve decided to incorporate Mini Sessions for those times when a full session isn’t absolutely necessary but my clients still want to capture a few great images of their sweet child(ren) or family!  :)

Introducing:

Summer Mini Field Sessions with JFP!

June 1st

UPDATE: I have just two spots available — 7:00pm & 7:30pm.

Michael is one of the smiliest and happiest babies I’ve ever met!  He just lights up the room with his grin!  I was so excited to get to take him outside for a few quick shots during his session too…what a cutie!!

Oh, Miss Lilly, you are simply precious.  I love working with babies at this age, they’re roly-poly and generally delighted to get their pictures taken!  I think my favorite part of the 6-8 month age is their love for their own toes, Lilly loved hers too – keep on scrolling to catch that adorable image.  :)

To put it simply, Evie is the definition of a Newborn Rockstar.  I was able to work through 6 poses, a few container shots, and a pose with her mama — all in an hour and a half!!  Ohhhh yeah!

So, it’s a pretty well known fact that my Dad and Tobe have a slight obsession with Krispy Kreme doughnuts.  So much so that when our oldest, Leah, was born, my Dad celebrated by bringing a box of a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the hospital.  Of course she didn’t eat one at the time but we photographed her laying next to the box.  Fast forward a year….on her birthday, we took her to Krispy Kreme for her very first “Hot Now” experience.  She loved it.  Of course.

Then, when our son, Jacob, turned one…same story…took him to Krispy Kreme.  He loved it.

We just celebrated Elias’s first birthday.  Can you guess where we took him?  Yep.  McDonald’s.  …just kidding… Krispy Kreme.

He wasn’t much into the whole hat thing.

I think he’s a fan.

Yes, Leah is wearing her Pajamas…it was PJ day at school and we picked her up mid-day to head to Columbus.  If I was super “put together” and cared what other people thought about my child wearing her flannel pajamas in public, I would have made her change in to her Sunday best.  But, nah, we’re cool like that.

Ohhhh, here’s the *real* Elias, by the way.  Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde….see very next photo.

Clearly, Jacob needs some more sugar….pass the box of doughnuts, please.

We had an absolutely *perfect* evening for this family’s session…they’re seriously one of my favorite families to capture – they’re fun and laid back and totally willing to just relax during our time together.  After photographing families all summer and fall long, I managed to spy a new favorite location just in time for their session.  Trying to find new and fresh shooting locations can cause one to spend hours driving along all of the back country roads, it’s always a delight to snag a spot that’s literally 4 minutes from my home.  Anyways, I’m totally rambling about how great this location is…let’s just get to the images already…
